About Francis

Francis Yanga was born on July 2nd 1982 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.  At the age of 6 he moved to Aruba with his parents and older sister where he spent a large part of his early life.  As the son of a professional musician father, Francis grew up entrenched in the music industry.  It didn’t take him long to discover his own talents and passion for the business.

A multi-talented musician, Francis plays percussion, piano and the bass guitar.  Heavily influenced by the music of the Caribbean culture, he is also classically trained and moves seamlessly from genre to genre. Shortly after moving to Canada for his studies, Francis formed and performed in the Jazz group The Jazz Funk & Company, which earned rave reviews throughout the Toronto circuit.

Besides his musical pursuits, Francis is also an accomplished businessman owning and operating his own multi-media and graphic design company.  While enjoying the success of his entrepreneurship career, Francis has now launched himself into the world of music production.  In his final year of the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College, Francis has had the opportunity to study under the leadership of Juno Award Winner Recording Engineer Jeff Wolpert, Artist Manager Terry McManus, Recording Engineer Joe Vaughn, Producer Dan Brodbeck and Artist Developer Jason Chapman.

Francis is a songwriter, musician, film composer, and music producer who works from his studio in London, Ontario.  He can be reached here.
